Grated Pits

PowerDrain Grates

All PowerDrain systems, channel + in-line pit come complete with grates. Grates are manufactured from ductile iron and available in either Slotted or Intercept Heelsafe Anti-Slip. Each grate is secured by two PowerLok clips and the unique fit between the trench body edge rail and the grate provide multiple anti-shunt locations to avoid grate movement along the trench.

Heelsafe^® Anti-Slip grates

legislative requirements At ACO, we believe that pedestrian friendly grates and slip resistance go hand in hand. The grates with the trademark, Heelsafe^® Anti-Slip comply to all four specific user requirements; heelsafe, wheelchair and walking cane safe, bicycle safe and are slip rated.

Heelsafe Anti-Slip Grate A slip resistance classification is assigned to these grates. AS 4586 sets out two recognised tests that determine slip resistance: wet pendulum test (P-rating) and oil-wet inclining platform test (R-rating). HB 198 references AS 4586 by specifying the minimum slip resistance ratings dependent on the application.

PowerLok - boltless locking system

PowerLok

is a patented, boltless locking system that provides quick fitting and removal of grates. Helps reduce installation/ maintenance time and cost.

QuickLok installation

To open PowerLok, insert tool between rail and PowerLok device.

Rotate tool 90°, PowerLok device should push away from rail.

To close, place hook part of tool into ‘V’ and push towards rail.
